Graco Inc. announces the new LineSite™ remote monitoring system designed for use with Graco’s InvisiPac® Tank-Free™ Hot Melt Systems, which are suitable for reducing adhesive costs and boosting production in packaging applications.

LineSite lets users take control of hot melt dispensing equipment, keeping them in touch with operations by viewing the status of InvisiPac hot melt machines on the plant floor from a smartphone, tablet or computer. With LineSite, operators can track production quality by observing real-time performance and system parameters.

With LineSite, operators can check temperatures, review critical performance metrics, view how much adhesive each line is using, and monitor machine diagnostics to prevent issues from causing downtime. Email notifications are sent when alarms or system setup changes occur, allowing users to respond immediately to potential faults and diagnose them remotely.

The LineSite data tracking and collection system transmits real-time data from individual InvisiPac systems and collects the data on a single, local storage device. According to the vendor, the data gathered saves money by helping diagnose issues faster, making sure the right amount of adhesive per package is used, and ultimately improving the efficiency of the packaging line. Users can view adhesive consumption over time to spot trends and make quick adjustments.

Data is captured in an intuitive graphical format, making system-operating data easy to review at a glance. From the plant dashboard operators can track active lines, view live temperatures, graph system parameters to analyze historical performance, and link to detailed troubleshooting instructions. With LineSite, users can log in from a local network or enable Web access through the external portal to connect from anywhere.
