CPA Announces new board of directors

Vickey Smitley of Hearthside Foods continues as president; new faces join the board.

The Contract Packaging Association (CPA), based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, has announced the officers on its new Board of Directors for July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. 

“I am thrilled at the progress the CPA has made over the last year in a number of key areas, including education. We have several new and exciting plans underway to further enhance member value, grow this association and make a greater impact on this industry,” Smitley said, adding: “Our board, committees and staff are all aligned and working in unison to deliver quick results. You can expect more educational opportunities and opportunities to participate at key industry events than ever before. And of course the Annual Meeting in February is looking to be even more robust than last year, if that is possible!”

The following individuals will participate as officers on the Board of Directors:
• CPA President -Vicky Smitley, Hearthside Food Solutions
• CPA Vice President -Tim Koers, The Visual Pak Companies
• CPA Treasurer -Mark O'Malley, Paket Corporation
• Past-President -Chris Nutley, MSW Packaging

The term of officers will run until June 2017. John Mazelin will continue in his role as CPA's Executive Director. Other CPA Directors include Jeff Freiburger, President of RRP Packaging; Jon Hayward, Vice President of Bonded Pack; Tom Landry, President of Allegiance Staffing; Rob Reinders, Owner of Performance Packaging of Nevada; Scott Thomas, Manager of 3PL & Co-pack - North America, Sealed Air; and Eric Wilhelm, CEO of Coregistics.
