Anderson Packaging, a business unit of AmerisourceBergen Consulting Group, today announced it has received the Illinois Performance Excellence (ILPEx) Silver Award for "Progress Toward Excellence" for demonstrating sound and notable continuous improvement processes.

The company will be formally honored today at the 17th annual award recognition ceremony, “Saluting Excellence,” at the Tellabs' offices in Naperville.

The ILPEx Silver Award for “Progress toward Excellence” is an annual award given to organizations that have demonstrated effective, systematic, well-deployed approaches that respond to the overall requirements of most items in the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and are aligned with organizational needs that lead to sound andnotable continuous improvement toward excellence. We continuously challenge ourselves to provide our pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare customers with the highest quality products and services possible so that they may ultimately deliver lifesaving therapies and solutions to patients.”

Headquartered in Rockford, Ill., Anderson Packaging employs 1,400 highly trained associates across eight FDA-audited cGMP packaging facilities. Anderson is a preferred supplier to the world's largest and most successful pharmaceutical and biotech companies, providing services from early phase clinical development through commercialization and long-term supply.

This annual award recognizes organizations within the State of Illinois identified as leaders contributing to the economic development and ethical competitiveness in the state. The award has three levels with recipients meeting various stages of performance.
