A recent Medical Device Network article discussed a new partnership that will bring digital auscultation features to clinicians. 3M has teamed up with Eko to add new tech to their old stethoscopes. Together, they will release the 3M Littmann CORE Digital Stethoscope, which will offer both analogue and digital options.
The new device will use Eko’s software and AI algorithms to help clinicians better interpret sounds and detect heart murmurs. Like high-end headphones, the device will also enable amplification and active noise cancellation.
