French food brand Délices de la Mer provides canned fish, vegetables, and sauces, using stand-up pouches, glass jars, and plastic bowls and trays to package a variety of foods for retail markets in France. Recently it selected a custom pot from RPC Bebo France for the October launch of a healthy, organic soup range, which is being sold under the popular Bjorg brand name. It’s sold in two flavours–‘Sweet potato &coconut’, and ‘Minestrone with vegetables & epeutre’.

The company chose RPCs Bouxwiller site because it manufactures and distributes round, nonround, standard and customized packaging. In this instance, the thermoformed 400-ml microwaveable pot has a 95-mm diameter and uses a polypropylene/ethylene vinyl alcohol/PP barrier structure to provide a 12-month shelf life. Customized cavities in the thermoforming process are said to allow for product sterilization.
