“The clean design—the fact that there is no side seam—is important, as is the strength of the can,” says Chase’s director of corporate marketing, Ron DeSimone. “But what we’re most excited about is the polymer coating. It’s so impervious to moisture and to chemicals that it virtually eliminates the risk of corrosion. We’re very impressed with the integrity of this steel container.”
Potentially exciting, says DeSimone, is the recent introduction of a line of products under the Handy-Klenz brand (shown here). This brand belongs exclusively to Norshel Industries of Croydon, PA, a leading regional importer and wholesaler of cleaning products. Without DSC's ability to produce fully decorated cans in small quantities, this own-brand initiative would not be possible.
"In the highly competitive world of wholesaling institutional cleaning and maintenance products, it lets us control our own destiny by distinguishing ourselves from the competition," says Norshel's Eric Liebowitz.
