At Achema 2012, Stephan Wengi, sales director for Hapa demonstrates a hybrid printer that offers two printing technologies in a single machine. At the first station, a flex print head prints non-variable information, while variable batch codes and details are printed digitally at a second station. The machine can print flex only, digital only, digital and flex, and be equipped with a different color UV-curable ink for both print methods.

The Bosch CPS800 is a carton printing system module, which consists of a print and a camera to automatically print and verify up to 400 cartons per minute. Tracking data is printed onto the product and automatically checked for accuracy by the camera with reads each printed digit.
