CC-Link IE Field is an open 1-Gbit industrial Ethernet automation network. CC-Link IE Field Safety meets both IEC and ISO safety standards.
The 1-Gbit per second (Gbps) data transfer rate provides the necessary speed and capacity required for Industry 4.0 requirements. This additional bandwidth capacity over the 150 megabits per second (Mbps) used for motion communication can allow for both necessary safety control, as well as for any future diagnostic communications and other non-real time transmissions.
With the CC-Link IE Field Safety integration and the additional option card MR-D30 attached, the MR-J4-GF now meets international safety standards for Category 4 PLe SIL3. The integration also makes the system configuration much simpler and cleaner by reducing wiring. OEMs can save time and money with this easier configuration because they only need to connect the Mitsubishi Electric Simple Motion Module with the servo amplifier to establish safety over the network.
“The safety signal from the safety PLC can be transmitted directly to MR-J4-GF via CC-Link IE Field.
