Midwest Poultry: Random case sealer for egg cartons

The private-label egg packer Midwest Poultry, North Manchester, IN, relies on a Marq Model HPR random top-and-bottom case sealer that accepts the total outflow from more than a dozen production lines. Deluxe Media Services: RFID labeling of DVD boxes

All boxes of DVDs at Deluxe Media Services are transported on the main conveyor past a bar code system; those destined for RFID application are directed down a new 130'-long conveyor spur. For RFID tag commissioning, the operator applies an on-pitch RFID tag and then scans the SSCC bar code into the software. The box is then pushed through the RFID portal to write to the tag and confirm a good read. The RFID data is thus associated with the bar code data and the RFID-enabled box is ready for shipment.
