PMMI joins a growing list of East Afripack’s supporting organizations, which also includes World Packaging Organization (WPO) and African Packaging Organization (APO).
The show is organized by Ipack-Ima Spa in partnership with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), East African Community (EAC),
the Ministry Of Industrialization of the Government of Kenya.

“I’m very pleased to offer our support of this important new event,” says Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO of PMMI.
“PMMI and its members have a long history of delivering packaging technologies and education to developing regions all over the world.
Our support of East Afripack is another demonstration of this commitment.”

“We are happy to have the support of PMMI,” declares Guido Corbella, CEO of IPACK-IMA Spa.
“PMMI and its Pack Expo shows are globally recognized leaders in the packaging industry, and their agreement to collaborate in the launch of East Afripack once

again expresses this leadership.”

In meetings held during PACK EXPO International in Chicago in October 2012, Mr. Yuska and Dr. Corbella discussed their shared commitment to bringing world-class
processing and packaging technologies closer to industries. Knowing that as much as 60% of the total food produced globally deteriorates, or goes wasted, both
recognize how these technologies can make a substantial contribution to providing healthy and more plentiful food for East African countries.
