Frito-Lay's Tostitos salsa container helped boost sales more than 50% compared to its previous year to win the Food Success Story category. "For seven consecutive years this awards program has highlighted marketing savvy and successes in glass packaging" says GPI president Lewis D. Andrews Jr. "We are encouraged to see so many innovative applications." Tying for honors in the Package Design category: Canadian Club's Classic whiskey bottle and Jack Daniel's Bicentennial decanter both described by GPI as "elegant clear glass bottles designed to grab the consumer's attention and to reflect the quality of the product inside." The decanter was also a co-winner in the Distilled Spirits/Wine category along with Pecos Heat Chili Pepper Tequila.
