Eastman Chemical
has introduced ParaStar PET resins for enhanced bottle clarity, product
purity, production and supply chain efficiencies, and environmental
benefits.
By
Produced using IntegRex technology, which eliminates the solid-stating step and reduces energy use compared to ordinary PET resin production processes. As a result, ParaStar is said to feature improved bottle-to-bottle consistency and acetaldehyde levels that are lowered by 25% or more, making the resin particularly suitable for bottled water. The resin is a drop-in replacement for standard PET on bottle manufacturing equipment, is 100% recyclable, and may be recycled with traditional PET resins.
