W.R. Grace Co. (Boca Raton, FL) has entered an agreement to combine its packaging business with Sealed Air Corp. (Saddle Brook, NJ), forming a new company, retaining the Sealed Air name and headquarters.

Minnesota Automation (Crosby, MN) has developed a patented, six-arm Servo Synchronous Rotary (SSR) Inserter for random product-feed applications. This machine synchronizes placement with the product and matches the insert placing speed to the linear speed of the carton or web to minimize skewing.
The Tri-Gard® Separating cap liner from Tri-Seal (Blauvelt, NY) lets packagers accomplish two goals at once. The multi-layered liner, already inside the cap when supplied to the packaging line, is induction sealed to a plastic bottle to provide a secure seal and tamper evidence.
The new economical wraparound labeling system from Label-Aire (Fullerton, CA) is available with either 4" or 6" W by 10" L labeling capacity. It features a 750"/min stepper-driven labeling head mounted on a 31/4" W x 7' L chain link conveyor.
