PackML is a product of the Open Modular Architecture Controls User Group, with the mission of providing standard program styles, data exchange, and operational modes across a variety of machine types. PackML provides a uniform “look and feel” across different machines on the plant floor. Some of the language’s benefits include lower engineering costs to end-users, easier integration of machinery across lines, faster start-ups, and reduced ongoing maintenance needs.
