WSAutomation introduces the new Spectra™ line of modular front/back labelers
The new Spectra™ front/back labeler from WSAutomation, a division of WS Packaging, is modularly designed for versatility in material handling and container application options. The labeling system features a touchscreen HMI from B&R with built-in video work instructions for explanation or troubleshooting. It also features smart, ACOPOS drives from B&R that plug-n-play, saving the operator programming time in case of a future need for replacement.

Multi-axis demo for pick and place, palletizing
B&R Industrial Automation's Pack Expo booth featured a live demo of a multi-axis Actuator Line from Rollon. The unit demos a 5 actuator - 3 axis of motion infrared target practice game that is driven by B&R controls. Rollon X-Y-Z gantry is an out-of-the-box solution for pick and place, packaging, palletizing and depalletizing, delivering flexible, reliable, accurate linear motion controlled by B&R.

Optical scanning technology from Batching Systems scans 4,000 times per second
The continuous counter from Batching Systems, the Batchmaster® IV, scans at 4,000 times per second. The sophisticated optical scanning technology behind the machine produces extremely accurate batches, identifying products based on size and shape and filtering out any parts outside of the accepted range. The counter features a B&R touchscreen HMI that combines control, visualization and motion control and it also allows for remote access and diagnostics.

Extreme Packaging Machinery demonstrates PackML powered shrink wrapper
The SAL servo automatic shrink wrapping machine from Extreme Packaging Machinery wraps up to 100 products per minute. Features include a 10.4” integrated HMI that links to the machine's servo motors, safety I/O and safety PLC via the real-time Ethernet protocol POWERLINK. PackML handles the upstream and downstream communication along the machine line for efficient product flow and affords the operator to easily assess the machine state, manage recipes, and set alarms on the HMI.

New case palletizer from Arrowhead Systems features bumpless infeed system
The new, servo-driven PriorityPal™ HL Series Case Palletizer from Arrowhead Systems can handle multiple products and features a bumpless infeed system. Remote diagnostics make machine troubleshooting easy. Other features include category 3 safety, an intuitive HMI system that allows patterns to be chosen on the fly, B&R I/O that offers flexibility in assigning inputs and outputs, and built-in high speed counters.

Packaging Efficiency Solutions presents new electronic tablet counting system with 100% accuracy
Packaging Efficiency Solutions' newly introduced PES 100 counts, manages and distributes product to bottles at a speed of up to 120 bottles per minute. The continuous motion filling system utilizes weigh cell technology and fills bottles at an impressive 100% accuracy. A B&R Power Panel 500 with AR Windows integrates the vision inspection system through a single interface. A 3D sensing array verifies a precise count and connects to B&R X20 I/O via POWERLINK.

TopTier showcases the new L7 All Electric palletizer with precise placement
TopTier's new L7 All Electric palletizer features PerfectPattern™ technology, guaranteeing precise placement of cases on the row-build section, as well as confirming case rotation and size. The new stretch wrapper prevents film breaks by anticipating the film speed and as a result reduces film usage and costs. The modular B&R ACOPOSmulti drive system allows for easy configuration and option to control up to 30 drives on a single Ethernet IP connection.

Schneider Packaging Equipment reduces changeover time with fully automated ProAdjust® System
ProAdjust®, the fully automated, stand-alone solution for performing industrial machine adjustments, reduces changeover time, and increases the speed and predictability of a machine adjustment. Recipe management for adjustments is controlled via a mobile panel from B&R. With the ability to save the desired settings/recipes, variances that may otherwise occur between different operators or shifts are taken out of the equation.
