SICK, Inc: Distance measurement sensors
Newly launched Distance Measurement Sensors from Sick allow customers to upgrade from simple detection to measurement applications where space and budget previously prohibited.
The DT10 combines simple set-up with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability in an industry-standard housing. Indicates not only that a target is within the user-defined range, but also indicates where target is located. Proximity-style sensor offers 4mA to 20mA of output, with analog output preset from 50-500 mm. The DT20 has a longer measurement range of 90-1,000 mm and its metal housing is suitable for harsher environments. The unit’s infrared light source is suitable for more difficult applications requiring measurement in steam or fog.
