  Quick-Changeover Packaging – Today's Core Business Strategy
More than “speed to market,” quick-changeover packaging involves getting a packaged product on store shelves quickly and efficiently. From design concepts to actual production.

Marketing and production must work together from the start to produce a package that works for the brand manager, operations, warehousing, retail, and the consumer. Integrating these two teams, with vastly different education backgrounds, and an “at odds” perception of their goals, makes this a difficult but necessary process.

This study includes an exclusive market survey of a cross-section of 850 respondents and examines how marketing and production view quick changeover differently. In-depth research shows how teams define their roles and goals and explains the challenges each group brings to the process.

Learn the market drivers influencing quick changeover of package designs:

  • Changing marketing-side dynamics
  • Growth of new retail channels
  • Shorter product life cycles
  • Retail stores as destinations
  • New retailer-CPG company relationships
  • "Just for me” marketing

Discover production’s drive for quick changeover on the line and packaging’s struggle to realize the potential of control capabilities to deliver maximum flexibility.

This report includes comprehensive information about:

  • Factors necessitating more frequent changes in packaging sizes and formats
  • Product changeover
  • Line configuration
  • Customizing for product and channel proliferation
  • Upstreaming of packaging operations
  • Just-in-time supply chain

Most importantly, this report will provide you with tips and advice for building a model – so your company can develop QCOP teams and increase speed to market.
