Aluminum bottle provides 'pop' on the beach

Miguel Barcelo P. & Co. extends the aluminum bottle in alcoholic beverages to the Dominican Republic with La Benedicta, a hard cider in a 16-oz crown finish bottle.

Gustavo Cruz Jerez, vice president of marketing and sales, says the bottle's lightweight and eye-popping graphics appeal to the brand's target audience.

“We are one of the true trend-setting brands among 18- to 25-year-olds,” Cruz Jerez says, adding that La Benedicta enjoys 90% of the market share in the Dominican Republic for locally produced hard cider.

The aluminum bottle, from CCL Container (www.cclind.com), is 100% recyclable, and Cruz Jerez says the bottle also was the right choice for the brand because it accepts high-impact graphics.

“Not only does our aluminum bottle present a great on-premise package for beachside parties, it also contains ‘black light' graphics that glow under the ultra - violet lights used in many popular bars,” he notes.
