Frozen Specialties Inc.: Wrapped pizza inspection
Shrink-wrapped pizzas are checked by the first of FSI's two-part pizza inspection system from Cognex. The machine vision sensor is the metal cylinder near the top center of the first video segment.
An air jet blows out-of-specification pizzas off of the conveyor which speeds the pizzas by at rates of more than 140/min. The second segment shows one of six NEMA 4 enclosures that houses the hardware including the monitor which shows each pizza as it is analyzed inside a bull's-eye overlay.
