F. Gaviña & Sons: Vertical form/fill/seal of coffee bags

After film is pulled through a vf/f/s section and bags are filled with coffee&#44 a heater bar heat seals the top of the bags. Later&#44 a tin-tie is automatically applied and folded for each bag. Finally&#44 each bag has tape applied to its top and the bags are then discharged from the machine.

The Model GL-14 vertical form/fill/seal machine is from Fres-Co. This new machine is dedicated to whole-bean coffee in one package size. Net weight of the product inside is either 10-oz or 12-oz, depending on the density of the coffee beans.
