At the case packer, supplied by TAD Packaging Machinery, Pails of powdered mixes are collated into groups of six that are cross-pushed onto the 29# ECT corrugated blank. After the cases are glue sealed&#44 they are discharged to the takeaway conveyor.

The upgrade from Clabber Girl's manual casing represents a 30- to

50-percent cost reduction versus the taped RSC cases used before. Managers also liked the fact that the case packer's simple design means about 30% fewer parts than other case packers.
