Pro Mach: Fleetguard's robotic case erecting, case packing and stretch wrapping line

At Pack Expo Las Vegas 2005, Pro Mach's expansive booth showcased the U-shaped line that offers case erecting&#44 case loading&#44 case labeling&#44 palletizing&#44 and stretch wrapping. This same machinery will be shipped and installed at Fleetguard\'s Nashville&#44 TN&#44 plant in December 2005.

The line features two Fanuc robots from Pro Mach\'s Brenton Engineering division.

The operation starts with a Wexxar case erector that supplies cases into the cell to the Brenton robotic case packer that loads the filters into the six-count cases transferring them from the filter conveyor to the awaiting case. Cases then leave the cell on a conveyor to a Belcor unit that seals the case top. Cases are then labeled on the side by an ID Technology labeler before they round the bottom of the U and convey back into the cell for palletizing. That\'s done by a second Brenton robot equipped with four sets of end tooling. Completed pallet loads then release on a conveyor directly for stretch wrapping by an Orion system. In-line stretch wrapping (shown) will not be part of the Fleetguard set up.
