Pregis Hexacomb® receives FSC® certification

Pregis Hexacomb® has received the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Chain of Custody certification for products produced at its Ermelo, Netherlands production facility.
The company is one of the first honeycomb producers to receive FSC certification (No. SCS-COC-003200). Hexacomb is made from 100% paper (all natural, renewable virgin and post consumer recycled fibers) and engineered into a proprietary honeycomb configuration. It provides cushioning and blocking/bracing functions for a wide range of protective packaging and other applications. Hexacomb® products include sheets, runners, edge and corner protectors.

“The FSC process is considered the most stringent certification for forestry products in Europe. Providing Hexacomb customers with products that meet the tough FSC criteria is just one way our products help brand owners achieve their environmental objectives,” said Carel Daams, plant manager at Hexacomb’s Ermelo facility.
