Advanced Poly-Packaging and Ergocon have introduced the Hands Free Towel Inspection and Packaging System, designed to automate and lower the production costs for laundered towel packaging.

Bulk towels are placed in a 250-lb capacity hopper and conveyed individually upward to a horizontal inspection conveyor, where they are counted electronically as they are dropped into an open bag that is sealed, and conveyed to a container for shipping.

A single operator runs the entire system, which is controlled by a touchscreen interface. In addition to reducing effort and increasing safety for operators through reduction in repetitive motions, system also offers configuration flexibility and speeds to 4,800 pieces/operator hr.
