PLA additive
Biomax® Strong, from DuPont is a petrochemical additive that is said to improve the toughness and reduce the brittleness of PLA materials.
Said to improve the performance attributes of the polymer particularly when used in rigid applications such as cast sheets for thermoforming and injection molding. Two grades are commercially available: Biomax Strong 100 is for use in packaging where no regulatory food compliance is necessary, and Biomax Strong 120 is for use where regulatory food compliance is required.
