Freezer-Friendly Pp

Basell has developed 2 PP-based resin grades that withstand freezer temperatures to -40ºF. Pro-fax EP390S high-impact, opaque PP copolymer resin and Clyrell EC140R transparent polyolefin resin (shown) are suitable for injection-molded tubs, trays, and cups ranging from 4 oz to 1.75 qt.

Both grades withstand microwave temperatures, are dishwasher safe, offer good snap-fit for lids, and may be in-mold labeled. Pro-fax EP390S offers exceptional drop test characteristics. Clyrell EC140R exhibits good transparency, good impact strength, high gloss, and good resistance to stress whitening.
