Super-sized design

To answer the consumer call for greater convenience at a better value&#44 John B. Sanfilippo & Son&#44 Inc&#44 maker of Fisher nuts and other snack foods&#44 has expanded from three peanut items in sizes from 16- to 40-oz PET containers to a line of nine flavors packed in various sizes totaling 18 SKUs.

Products include Golden Roast Peanuts Honey Roasted Peanuts Whole Cashews and Mixed Nuts with Peanuts. Motivated by research that shows that larger sizes are consumed at a higher rate than smaller sizes Fisher believes this change will result in incremental sales and profits. The 18 SKUs use a clear canister is topped with a red closure. The labels retain Fisher’s classic graphic design complete with recognizable brand name and familiar red background. A stylized ribbon device on the label identifies the type of nut. Fisher nuts are available at markets across the country.
