Thermal-transfer printers

The Sonic(TM) Twin 2C and 2S are two new thermal-transfer printers from Comstar (Streetsboro&#44 OH). The Twin 2C permits two-color imprinting on one side of a web of bags or film.

The two printheads can be overlapped or offset for a total print width of 4" to 8". The Twin 2S is configured to print on both sides of bags-on-a-roll tubing or centerfolded film. Both printers offer printheads with either 300 or 230 dpi resolution with a printing capability of 40 to 100 packages/min on medium-sized bags and up to 200 packages/min on smaller bags.
