Food Containers may be exempt in Oregon

The Oregon Senate passed a measure exempting some food containers from the State's Rigid Plastic Container Law. However&#44 amendments exclude from the exemption containers covered by the State's bottle bill&#44 as well as all other "bottles." However&#44 foodservice packaging manufacturers say the bill's language is too broadly written and would exclude "cups" from the exemption as well.

They are seeking modification of the language in the House to clearly specify that "bottles" only are not exempt.
