Billet forming system

The billet forming system from QuesTech Ventures (Newport News&#44 VA) uses patented thermoforming technology to create retortable&#44 semi-rigid plastic containers from preforms or "billets" cut from extruded sheets on close centers.

This results in higher yields per pound of sheet stock than with conventional processes creating significant cost savings. Since trimming is not necessary scrap is negligible.
