Print head maintenance system

FoxJet’s (Arlington, TX) auto-maintenance system self-primes each print head by forcing a small amount of ink through the channels and expelling trapped air and debris that causes ink “drop out.” A programmed timetable initiates the process, which requires little or no personnel interaction, eliminating lengthy start-up procedures resulting from extended periods of inactivity, or print distortion caused by airborne plant debris.
