An interview about packaging-related advances in electron beam technology with Josh Epstein, director of marketing for Advanced Electron Beam (www.aeb.com), conducted by Packaging World technical editor Rick Lingle.

As markets trend towards efficient shelf stable packaging,  end users are assessing the benefits from chemical-free, low-energy electron beam sterilization methods that eliminate the need for rinse water—a container typically requires as much rinse water as it holds—while maintaining production speeds.

This 12-min Podcast highlights some of the latest advances from AEB as it promotes e-beam technology to an industry now more appreciative of the sustainable benefits of using e-beam for packaging and packaging-related applications. Josh discusses potential and on-going projects relating to e-beam's use for PET bottles, pouches, caps, and cups.
