Ribs on the front and back, together with a concave bottom, provide strength and maintain shape when the container expands during filling. Compared with glass, the PET jar significantly reduces breakage during production and shipping, and on retail and consumer shelves. It also offers economic savings and weighs 87% less. Jar is 6.2”H and 3.4 sq” with a 63-mm neck. It is molded of monolayer PET resin, weighs 48 g, and can be filled at temperatures to 185ºF.
