TricorBraun: Low-profile tube/closure solution

Designed for personal care products such as skin care, sun care, cosmetics and hair care products, the Eco low-profile tube/closure solution from TricorBraun is a lightweight, low-profile 2-in. tube and closure solution that improves sustainability, transportation efficiencies and costs, and reduces lead times – all without requiring brand owners to change their filling operations.

TricorBraun, in partnership with Silgan Tubes, developed the unique, snap-on HDPE tube head that is said to weigh as much as 30% less than a similar-sized traditional tube heads. TricorBraun also has the exclusive rights to Italian closure manufacturer Giflor’s range of products including the eco low profile PP flip top closure that is said to weigh 50% less than a similar-diameter traditional closure. The resulting Eco low-profile tube/closure solution is a minimum of up to 30% lighter than traditional combinations holding the same volume of product, according to the company.

The reduced tube length also results in significant logistic efficiencies, such as being able to place up to 25% more tubes in a carton and more tube/closure solutions into a truckload.
