Designed for pharmaceutical packaging, Klöckner Pentaplast’s Pentapharm® ACLAR® PA600/02 barrier films are a 2-layer (PVC/ACLAR®) laminated film that provides the highest moisture barrier available in the Pentapharm® ACLAR® product line.
PA600/02 films are made with Honeywell’s 152-micron ACLAR® UltRx6000, which is 50% thicker than the current maximum gauge ACLAR® film, for a 50% increase in moisture barrier. Particularly useful for solid oral-dose packaging, powders, ethical drugs, OTC, generics, etc., that require ultra, ultra-high moisture barrier. Small footprint packages require less material and total cost per package. The transparent, non-yellowing films offer excellent machinability on existing standard form/fill/seal packaging lines and tooling. With rigid vinyl as the product contact layer, films offer sealability to common vinyl-compatible lidstocks.
