Shell Chemicals: Styrene butadiene copolymer

Shell Chemical (Houston, TX) has introduced Kraton(TM) D-1401P, a clear thermoplastic intended for use in the rigid packaging market, particularly for thermoformed extruded sheet applications where clarity and impact resistance are key properties.

The polymer provides stiffness high strength impact resistance ductility and processability. Products that can be made from D-1401P include clear plastic cups salad trays clamshells and thin see-through plastic lids. The product is compliant with food packaging regulations.
