Printpack announced the opening of Printpack (Suzhou) Packaging Co., Ltd., which will produce shelf-stable thermoformed rigid plastic containers for the food packaging industry. Colbert Packaging Corp. acquired Dayton Carton and Crown Paper Box. Phoenix Technologies opened its new commercial recycled rPET line for the production of LNO™c food-grade resins. Dubai-based Taghleef Industries opened an office in Charleston, SC. Motoman Inc. entered into a partnership with Agile Planet, Inc. The partnership will integrate a customized version of Agile’s robot-independent manipulation software, Kinematix™, and Motoman’s high-dexterity dual-arm and other robots. PEOPLE Stefan Polywka joined Tegrant Corp., ThermoSafe Brands as vice president of operations. Earl Raynal was named sales manager for Motion Controls Robotics. Benjamin Garvey, general manager, Garvey Corp., was appointed to the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute’s board of directors. Gregory Anderson assumed the position of technical manager and Elizabeth Ponte was appointed sales representative for Teknor Apex Co. Ward Smith was appointed director of marketing for Keystone Folding Box Co.
