DuPont’s Selar® PA is an amorphous nylon barrier resin ideal for temperature- and flavor-sensitive refrigerated foods and beverages. Resin provides the oxygen and carbon dioxide barrier properties necessary to retain shelf life, yet also offers the clarity of glass with lower weight and better impact resistance.

The resin’s easy-to-extrude nature and thermoforming characteristics make it ideal for both film and sheet and suitable for use with all types of food except those with more than 8% alcohol. Selar PA can also be blended with nylon 6 and with EVOH to provide property and processing advantages.
