COMPANIES B&H Labeling announced the relocation and expansion of its B&H Labeling Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. parts, service, and sales office to Naucalpan. Bosch’s Packaging Technology Div. plans to acquire Paal Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, based in Remshalden, Germany. Alcan Global Pharmaceutical Packaging a div. of Alcan Packaging, a business unit of Rio Tinto Alcan, acquired the Chakan flexible packaging plant from Associated Private Ltd., India. Pregis Corp. opened its Innovation Center in Deerfield, IL, which will focus on next generation protective packaging materials and systems. United Drug plc acquired the entire issued share capital of Sharp Corp. PakTech teamed with Sydney-based Creative Pack to increase sales potential in Australia. Constar Intl. Inc. and Pepsi signed a four-year agreement for Constar to supply PET packaging products to Pepsi. Multivac, Inc. formed the Manufacturer Certified Pre-Owned Business Unit, which will be headed by Tom Ritter, director of Rebuilding and Remanufacturing. Arrowhead Systems, Inc. purchased select assets of Priority One Packaging, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. PEOPLE Benjamin Garvey was appointed general manager of the Garvey Corp. Adam Montaruli was appointed regional sales director, Eastern region, for Better Packages. Stéphane Tondenier
was appointed vice president, sales and marketing and cosmetics worldwide for Alcan Packaging Beauty. Weighpack Systems recruited Mario Medina and Stephen Farruggio to its sales team. Farruggio will manage the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania territories; Medina will manage the southeastern U.S., as well as Central and South America. Tegrant Corp. named Colleen Bohn president of ThermoSafe Brands’ Strategic Business Unit, and Ian Buck, director of European sales. Adept Technology, Inc. named John Dulchinos chief executive officer and Robert Bucher executive chairman of the board of directors.
