Preforms for wide-mouth PET containers
A more efficient 2-step manufacturing process that includes injection-molded preforms from Rez-Tech Corp. is eliminating the need to transport and store empty PET jars prior to filling.
The preforms can be nested in space-saving stacks for efficient
transport and storage. During the second step, the preforms are blown to
full size using stretch blow molding equipment that can be purchased or
leased for on-site production. According to the company,100,000
preforms can be shipped in the amount of space it takes to ship 10,000
full-size containers.
