Avery Dennison Specialty Tape: Air-release labels
Air Release active labels from Avery Dennison permit the controlled release of unwanted air or steam from flexible packages. Pouches or other flexible packaging can be instantly purged of unwanted air by simply compressing the package.
The 1-way valve properties of Air Release technology enable the retention of liquids during the emission process. Labels can be sized and printed to meet most packaging designs and are said to be capable of easy and accurate application by most automated label application systems. A higher-temperature version is being developed for applications such as frozen and fresh prepared entrees.
