OPTIMA scores sustainability hit with soft cans

At interpack, the ELAU-enabled SoftCan Maker from OPTIMA produced Cyclero® cans, a head-turning 'can' formed from flexible roll stock.

Combining strong shelf impact with an environmentally desirable, easy opening and reclosing package, Cyclero also does what no metal can can do – provide a transparent product display!
According to the company's literature, The SoftCan Maker produces up to 60 cans per minute in diameters ranging from 50 to 99 mm and heights from 60 to 250 mm. Nitrogen gassing and a peel-top closure with a reclosable rigid snap lid keep product fresh and the package stable.
