Blending a small percentage of DuPont's (Wilmington, DE) Surlyn® N-ionomer into EVOH while reducing the EVOH's ethylene content optimizes processability without lowering barrier properties.
N-ionomer is an alloy of Surlyn and nylon. Typical applications include films used for tubs and lidding films.
