Atlantis Plastics (Atlanta, GA) has developed two LDPE-based packaging films—Packaging Film-Hi Clarity Hi OTR AP2042 and AP2050. AP2042 has an OTR of more than 300 cc.

It features good puncture resistance and good stiffness and strength characteristics for produce frozen food and general merchandise package- or bag-converting applications. It is capable of running and sealing at line speeds of more than 100 cycles/min. For applications requiring higher clarity and a broader sealing range AP2050 has a 300 to 400 OTR range. Can be manufactured as thin as 75 ga in widths to 110” with a medium or high-slip surface.
