Corona-treated polyester film

Pentaclear® and Pentaprint® APET and PETG corona-treated films are now available from Klöckner Pentaplast of America (Gordonsville, VA). Films’ high surface tension properties allow improved wettability and ink and coating adhesion for print and folding carton applications.

Available in rolls or precision-cut sheets polyester films offer corona treatment which reduces or eliminates the customer’s need to apply a primer coat for ink adhesion prior to the printing process. Corona treatment provides film surface energy values between 40 and 50 dyne/cm.
