United Desiccants (Belen, NM) has introduced Container Dri II(TM) bags that control condensation levels in shipping containers by preventing the air from reaching dewpoint.
Problems associated with water vapor include the rusting of metal cans discoloring and peeling of labels and weakening and collapsing of corrugated cartons. Cargo sent by truck railroad or ship can be protected from condensation for up to 40 days. Available in 125-g bags.
