Sud-Chemie Performance Packaging has launched a new desiccant washer to keep pharmaceutical products safe from moisture damage. The desiccant resides where the cap joins the bottle and rests in the neck of a pharmaceutical container.

Suitable for use when a loose desiccant within the packaging is undesirable. A version of the washer can even be used with bottles having an induction seal. Because it can be easily removed upon opening the washer is especially useful in protecting powdered pharmaceutical products. Desiccant washers are customized to fit customer requirements and specifications. Other solutions that snap into the caps of pharmaceutical bottles are also available.
