No technical or packaging material cost information is available from the firm. Calls to several of the U.S. machinery makers most likely to be involved in the project produced few clues as to how the pack is made or what the material specs might be. But one informed observer noted that the package appears to be of the four-corner-sealed variety. The large bags hold 24 oz of frozen vegetables complemented by innovative “sauce chips” that melt over the vegetables during microwaving. Five varieties are available each with a suggested retail price of $3.19. “The resealable bags and sauce chips provide an easy way for consumers to serve a great-tasting side dish no matter if they’re eating alone or with a family of five” says marketing manager Kathy Heafey. —PR
