Darex Container Products (Lexington, MA) has introduced a packaging sealant called Darex OST(TM) Oxygen Scavenging Technology. The sealant helps brewers maintain flavor and freshness longer, eliminate preservatives and extend shelf life in beer and other fermented beverages.

Darex OST is an active packaging component. It actively absorbs oxygen and is designed to be incorporated as an integral part of traditional barrier packaging such as crowns plastic or metal closures.
