Single-serves with curves
Reid's Dairy milk launches in 250-mL cartons with screw caps and curved top and side panels.
Reid's Dairy, Belleville, Ontario, Canada, has launched single-serve skim, 2%, 1%, and chocolate milk products packaged in 250-mL, mini Diamond™ Pure-Pak® cartons manufactured by Elopak Canada Inc.
The unique gable-top carton design features curved top and side panels that help the packaging stand out in the crowded refrigerator case. The carton also sports a large screw cap for ease of pouring or direct from-container drinking. Reid's Dairy is using a Pure-Pak Model P-M30 filler with an output of 3,000 mini cartons per hour to fill the single-serve milk products.
The right image
Stephen Quickert, president of Reid's Dairy, comments, "As an independently run company, we need to be different from our competitors and stand out by being one step ahead. The innovative Diamond carton shape, married to the quality print process provided by Elopak in Montreal, helped us create the right image with new branding that enhances Reid's identity."
Curved red panels match the familiar Reid's Dairy banner. The graphics retain the dairy's "Shaker the cow" character and the castle turret that identifies the Reid's Belleville plant. High-quality photographs depict active youngsters and splashing milk. ... Read more
